America has been in the health industry for more than 20 years. She holds a Holistic Health Practitioner license, a B.A in Psychology, and an M.B.A. She worked at Deepak Choprak center as a volunteer to increased her holistic knowledge. Additionally, she continues medical classes which enhance her ability to incorporate Eastern modalities with traditional methods. In 2008 she will be attending training in China: "Acupuncture in The Operating Room". Where acupuncture is utilized instead of anesthesia. A future technology which will replace the current medical anesthesia.

Her practice has grown rapidly in the past 4 years, offering services in both San Diego and Beverly HIlls, and expanding to serve Hollywood. Her practice in San Diego offers various alternatives commodities, especially Body Detoxification, Weight Control and a new technology called "BioMeridian" which is approved by the F.D.A. The BioMeridian device measures the resistance to electricity or impedance within the meridian pathway. It is a tool used to gain insight to the related functional health of each organ and system according to the relationship of Bio-Electrical impedance measurement and functional health.
Her interest in counseling and healing began in Hawaii in the 1980's. While attending college she worked at the Tai Hsuan Foundation: College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, where she was trained in Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Iridology, Reflexology and Vegetarianism. She dealt with people who had been diagnosed with cancer, ulcers and terminal diseases, concluding that disease prevention was the best way to live. She teaches aerobics and yoga four times a week. America is also a devoted vegetarian. Her phrase "I walk my talk" and "Your Health is Our Greatest Wealth" are very common in her conversations.
America has studied various mind/body healing practices such as polarity therapy, laying on of hands, vipassana meditation, Hot Rock therapy, Deep Tissue, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Nutrition, Homotoxicology, kinesiology, Tui na, Craneo-Sacral, Passive Joint movement, Reiki, Yoga, Reflexology, Kickboxing, Step Aerobics, Body Pump, Chinese herbs, and the intuitive arts.
She is constantly gaining knowledge by attending all kinds of training in Western and Eastern medicine, incorporating both to enhance her practice accordingly. In addition, she gives Nutrition lectures around the community and different medical locations. America, has recently been invited to be a guess Speaker in Peru, for the 3rd International Holistic Medicine 2007, this Conference attracts thousands of people (Professionals from all Latin American, USA and Europe). The Conference will be held on October 10, 11, and 13 at the University of Weisner, Lima Peru.
In her personal life: In addition, to teaching Aerobics/Yoga, America goes salsa dancing at least once a week, makes jewelry in her spare time, takes painting lessons, loves cooking, running, sailing, hiking. She loves animals, children, nature and living life to it's fullest!
